The PLA is an organisation for professionals specialising in any aspect of commercial, residential or agricultural property disputes (including professional negligence claims relating to property transactions) and seeking to resolve those disputes by means of litigation or another form of dispute resolution.
The PLA’s objectives include (a) the promotion of specialist property litigation skills for those within the property industry and others with an interest in property and (b) the provision of a network for the exchange of information among PLA members.
The PLA organises events, distributes news, publishes case reviews and comments on law reform.
Those eligible for membership of the PLA are solicitors, legal executives, employed barristers and clerks substantially engaged in property litigation in England, Wales or Scotland and who support the objectives of the PLA.
